Judgment day as Vipers and KCCA battle for Victory.

The battle lines have been drawn today in the Azam Uganda Premier League as the 16 clubs race to the finishing line of one of the tightest marathon in the league history. It’s rare for the club officials an fans to wait for the last day to identify the winner and the looser(s) i.e clubs to be relegated to the big league.
While Vipers Sports Club and Kampala Capital City Authority FC will be battling for the number one spot at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende and Namboole Stadium respectively, Masavu, Express, Proline, UPDF and Soana will be fighting to remain in the top flight.
Vipers must win UPDF if it’s to be crowned champions while KCCA must also win its away game with Police FC and pray that UPDF defeats or draws with Vipers. One of Uganda’s historical clubs Express needs a must-win at Masavu if they are to survive the relegation zone. However, it will all be in vain if the two clubs above Red Eagles (UPDF and Soana) win or draw respectively.
Meanwhile, Vipers’ Dan Sserunkuuma at 16 goals will be looking forward to winning the Golden Boot although he’s faced with fierce competition from Nelson Ssenkatuuka (15) and Shaban Muhammed (13).
