Gagamel boss Bebe Cool has argued fellow Ugandans to come out and condemn the brutality exhibited by the Police while carrying out their duties. The singer said this while paying a courtesy visit to Lowena Racheal, a Senior Six student who was hit by a bullet as Uganda Police and KCCA enforcement officers were evicting street side vendors.
“Took some time off today afternoon to go visit the young girl who was unfortunately shot in the mouth a few days ago as KCCA authorities together with UGANDA police were evicting vendors from the streets. As Ugandans, we should condemn such forceful acts and take responsibility of our actions…” he said. However, the artiste was quick to add that citizens should also remember their duty of following the law.
“BUT also abide by the rules and regulations given to us by authorities as to avoid confrontations that always result in loss of property, innocent people being injured or killed”. He also complimented the Speaker, Hon. Rebecca Kadaga for taking interest in the matter before pressuring offender to take responsibility of the victims.
“Thanks to the speaker of parliament who has taken on this case to make sure that the circumstances under which this girl was shot are investigated.
My prayer is the responsible authority take care of this little girl and mother through this rough time”.
