Bajjo granted court bail

Events promoter Andrew Mukasa popularly known as Bajjo can finally have a smile on his face as he has been granted a court bail following previous failed attempts. The promoter was set free after payment of 4 million Shillings cash bail and a non cash bond of 20 million shillings for each of his three sureties.

According to his lawyer Counsel Erias Lukwago of Lukwago and Co. Advocates, they are expecting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in court as a witness on the 25th of July when Bajjo will be back in court. “Museveni is expected to take to the witnesses stand to show how he was angered and offended by Bajjo’s statements” Lukwago said.

The promoter was arrested on June 15th at Centenary Park as he together with partner Abbey Musinguzi (Abtex) addressed a press conference about a pending ‘People Power Marathon.’ Among the charges Bajjo faces include treason following a video clip in which he allegedly predicted President Museveni’s oust from power before 2021.
