Bad Character Records’ CEO Kalifah Aganaga has reignited the move to drive renown radio and TV Presenter Isaac Katende alias Kasuku out of the media business. All this is in a proposal about why Ugandan musicians don’t last after their first hit songs.
Among the solutions Kalifah mentioned include musicians/record labels’ need to pay for airplay, ending deejays-artistes wars and artistes maintaining their brands. On the issue of artistes-deejays wars, its where Kalifah singled out Kasuku whom he accused of being “very corrupt and biased about musicians who have made it in life without his hand” Kalifah said. He further added on that “He decampaigns our progress live on air and talks about personal things that are out of this business like racism.
This is not the first time the Nation Media journalist has come under fire from musicians. Last year under their umbrella, The Uganda Musicians Association (TUMA), they wanted him expelled from all Nation Media platforms accusing him of his remarks on the late Mowzey Radio before was killed in a bar brawl.
