11 Brushing Tips

  1. Start with the outer surface of your teeth both up and down.
  2. After that, then clean the inner surface of your teeth.
  3. Next is the chewing surface (where the upper teeth touch the lower teeth)
  4. Lastly, gently brush the tongue. Many people ignore brushing the tongue and in the end develop a bad odour.
  5. Brush for at least 2 minutes or more.
  6. While brushing the inner and outer surface, make sure you tilt the brush at an angle of 45°.
  7. Change your tooth brush at least once in three months. Consider a brush with soft bristles as the best choice.
  8. It is advisable to brush before eating and then use water afterwards to clean the food particles. According to research, brushing as soon as after meals may damage your enamel.
  9. At least brush two times a day.
  10. Dental experts warn that over brushing can lead to sensitive teeth and receding gums.
  11. A lot of people hate yellow teeth. However, yellow teeth are only bad if caused by poor hygiene like not brushing, but if a person is brushing regularly and using the right type of paste, then there’s no need to worry.
